Over the past week the river has once again claimed another young life, this time someone was known to a few members of our group. Everyone that knew him says that he was the happiest person they knew and how he could light up a room with his personality. Little did they know about the battles he was fighting in his own head. We helped with the search for him last week and seeing his family showed us that suicide only passes the hurt onto someone else and isn't the answer. Thankfully he has been found now thanks to a huge effort by his family, friends, agencies and strangers. Too many families have been left with an missing loved one, too many empty shoes too many empty chairs. Rest In Peace N.
S.N.A.P. is a photography and video project that we are doing as part of our YMCA Ireland Mpower group in Londonderry/Derry. S.N.A.P. stands for Street,Nature,Art,Portrait. We will be using these styles of photography to highlight issues and the things we see around us.

DeleteWow they are amazing- I'm pretty sure they're impossible too - I normally flick past pictures pretty fast, but these grab your eyes and force you to slow down and think 'what's going on here?'
